An enthusiastic and highly experienced social worker
I specialise in supporting children and families across Child Protection, Child in Need, Court proceedings and Looked After Children. I also have experience working within Adult Social Care, which broadens my perspective and understanding of family and community dynamics.
Over the years, I have developed a strong reputation for delivering thorough, robust and analytical assessments. I am a skilled communicator, adept at building trusting relationships with clients and colleagues and facilitating effective support systems. My work is grounded in a deep understanding of social care legislation and procedures, ensuring compliance and the highest standards of practice. To date, I have successfully completed over 200 assessments and reports, including acting as an expert witness in court.
Nurturing the next generation of social workers
I am also passionate about nurturing the next generation of social workers. As an experienced practice educator, I support both undergraduate and master’s Social Work students, as well as coaching, mentoring, and assessing Newly Qualified Social Workers.
My approach is always trauma-informed, person-centred, and culturally competent, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and families. I am fluent in English, French, and Lingala, allowing me to connect with diverse communities and provide accessible support to all families.
